Warrap State UJOSS office wishes UJOSS national office a happy independence day

Happy Independence Day to the UJOSS National Leadership.
As we celebrate the 15th Anniversary of our independence, journalists in Warrap State appreciate the UJOSS leadership for its continued efforts in uniting journalists, promoting press freedom, and strengthening the capacity of media professionals across South Sudan.

We encourage UJOSS to continue extending its support to state-based journalists, particularly those in Warrap State, where rising conflicts in Greater Tonj counties require greater attention to peace journalism, journalists safety, and protection.

Journalists covering conflict stories often carry the emotional burden of the communities they serve. Listening to, documenting, and witnessing painful experiences can have psychological effects that require recognition and support.

May UJOSS continue standing with journalists by promoting responsible reporting, peacebuilding, and the well-being of those working in challenging environments.

Happy Independence Day.
